An Evening Of Conversations

Earlier this month, Remfry & Sagar celebrated the reopening of its newly refurbished office at Remfry House with “An Evening of Conversations” - bringing together clients of the Firm for an informal and interactive discussion on the evolving IP landscape.

Pankaj Soni, Partner & Patent Chair at Remfry & Sagar, and Gauri Kumar, INTA’s representative in India, led a wide-ranging conversation that saw active participation from those present. The discussion examined India’s IP trajectory - the progress made in strengthening the country’s IP protection and administration framework, as well as what more can be done to further encourage innovation at home and make the ecosystem more responsive to innovators and businesses.

The conversation also turned to AI and the legal profession: how in-house legal teams and law firms are adopting AI, where it is already adding value, and whether clients will increasingly look for AI-assisted inputs or continue to place a premium on human analysis, judgement and experience.

It was a lively and thought-provoking exchange, with the conversation continuing over drinks and canapés.
