Working with communities

Remfry & Sagar aims to make a lasting difference through efforts that address the social and economic challenges of our times.

Particularly notable in this regard is our collaboration with the Sagar School that is located two hours away from the National Capital Region in the serenity of the countryside. Together with the school, we focus on empowering underprivileged women and children in surrounding villages by teaching them skills that can earn a better livelihood. The stress is on encouraging local handicraft and how to market it successfully.

This past year, a special area of focus for us was hygiene. In village Maler, close to the Sagar School, the Firm took the initiative of having toilets constructed for the entire village. It was our very own ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’.

(Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a campaign by the Government of India to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country’s cities and towns – it is India’s largest cleanliness drive ever.)
