IPHour with Remfry & Sagar

With the Covid-19 pandemic we have had to disconnect physically, and instead, become more connected digitally. Over the past three months Remfry & Sagar has been producing a series of webinars – featuring presentations and panel discussions – to keep clients and associates abreast of all the important issues and developments in IP law and practice in India.

Our topics have covered a broad range – focusing on the functioning of the courts during the lockdown, data protection, patenting antibodies, trademark makeover mantras to stave off brand distress, analysis of the ‘Magic Masala’ trademark dispute, patentability of computer related inventions (CRIs) and an insight into music copyright societies.

The title of the webinar series came out of an ‘in-house’ contest wherein we requested members of the Firm to suggest suitable titles. Dhruv Grover sent in the winning entry – clubbing discussions on ‘IPR’ over the course of an ‘Hour’ – he came up with a most befitting title – ‘IPHour’!
