Double Win at the MANAGING IP Asia Awards 2019

At the MANAGING IP ASIA AWARDS ceremony held in Hong Kong on March 20, 2019, Remfry & Sagar was declared winner of the: ‘INDIA TRADE MARK CONTENTIOUS FIRM OF THE YEAR AWARD 2019’.

The Firm was also adjudged a winner for the: ‘IMPACT CASE OF THE YEAR’ for Carlsberg Breweries v. Som Distilleries and Breweries Ltd., a seminal case on design law where, for the first time in an IP matter, a special 5 judge bench was constituted by the Delhi High Court and ruled in favour of our position that actions of design infringement and passing off could be clubbed in a single law suit.
