Media, Advertising and Entertainment Legal Summit, 2024

The MAELS Annual Summit organised by Lex Witness – India’s 1st Magazine on Legal & Corporate Affairs had Remfry & Sagar Partner C.A. Brijesh as a panelist on a discussion titled ‘IPR & Content Rights in the M&E sector’.

The session was moderated by Lohita Sujith, Sr. Director, Copyright & Digital Economy, Motion Picture Association India and had Himanshu Bagai, Partner, Saikrishna & Associates and Natasha Fernandes, Senior Associate Vice President and Head Legal, IN10 Media Network, as co-panelists.

It was an insightful discussion, with Brijesh sharing his views on how AI will impact copyright heavy sectors such as film and music; ambiguity on authorship and ownership related to AI generated works; need to protect personality rights; as well as cross-border infringement issues and recommendations – including the role of dynamic injunctions.
