The subject of discussion was ‘𝐍𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐀’𝐒 𝐄𝐕𝐎𝐋𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐆𝐋𝐎𝐁𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒’.

While administrative and legislative reforms have contributed significantly towards building a robust patent regime in India, there is room for improvement. Both speakers emphasised the need for holistic evolution, and highlighted the crucial role of inventor reward/recognition in encouraging high-quality innovations for global competitiveness, alongside the need for favourable governmental policies and wider legal protection.
