Govind’s scientific background/expertise includes medicinal and organic chemistry, formulation technologies, drug discovery and development, catalytic chemistry and novel polymer based drug delivery systems. An inventor himself as well as a registered Indian Patent Agent, he has a keen understanding of the nuances of patent prosecution and formulation of strategies to overcome the objections raised in office actions. He has been involved in formulating novelty search opinions and has published extensively in international peer reviewed journals on topics ranging from cancer diagnostics and preparing advanced surfaces for devising techniques for cancer prognosis. Many years of experience as well as acquired interpersonal skills and ability to work with people from many countries allow Govind to collaborate with inventors of all types at all stages of the patent prosecution to churn out and refine their inventions and prepare patent applications to successfully obtain meaningful and defendable IP rights.
Govind is a formulation scientist by training with a PhD degree in Pharmaceutics. He is also a visiting scholar at Freie Universität, Berlin and a member of their alumni association. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in law.
A prolific author, he has written several articles on issues connected with his areas of expertise. He is also an Associate Member (AMRSC) of the Royal Society of Chemistry, London.
